A striking selection of words extracted from the notebooks of Isabelle Champion Métadier during a journey in New York. These quotes are arranged and accompanied by unpublished photographs.
Isabelle Champion Métadier (ICM) produces a digital art made of photographic elements laided out, overlaided, deformed, colourized or enlarged through computer. Thereby, she creates confusing works of art. During her stay in New York, ICM started to keep notebooks. Their essence is reproduced in Rush. A torrent of word in which we can feel all her profuse curiosity and the intensity of her obervations upon the world of art and the contemporary culture. Words, but also photos. To date, ICM has never stopped composing her notebooks with her writings, photos, drawings and collages.
Isabelle Champion Métadier (born 1947 in Tours, lives and works in Paris) is a French artist who worked with traditional mediums—painting, drawing, sculpture and photography—before she started to develop interest in digital art.
