French curators Camille Richert and Georgia René-Worms are invited to talk about their research on the Hackney Flashers, a collective of socialist-feminist artists active in the 1970-80’s in London. They will be joined by Patrizia di Bello, Professor of History and Theory of Photography (Birkbeck, University of London), and artist Micheal Ann Mullen. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Flashers’ first exhibition which documented women at work in Hackney through numerous photographs and texts.
