Six sound games to play at home or on stage, even without musical expertise! (a project by the Jeux Sonores collective, initiated in 2021 by Sébastien Roux, which brings together five people with a variety of practices and backgrounds, at the intersection of the sound arts, musical mediation and scientific research).
These sound pieces are made up of playful protocols akin to board games. Each piece uses sound as a medium. They contain objectives, rules and victory conditions. Be careful and strategic to win the game. The six games in this collection alternate between competitive and collaborative games, memory games and listening games, vocal games and instrumental games—using everyday objects that are easy to find and simple to use. Multiplayer: from 2 to 21 people (depending on the game).
