A dialogue between the saxophone and the viola.
Cyprien Busolini and Bertrand Gauguet have been playing together for several years. Their music, improvised, subtle and intimate, invites the listener to immerse himself in a state of intense listening. The materials of the viola and the saxophone cross, criss-cross, detach, move away and come closer as in a game of chase where each movement transforms the landscape, where each variation of light modifies the environment in an imperceptible way.
Bertrand Gauguet is a musician trudging through a practice without hierarchy involving
sound and
music: as an improvising saxophonist, composer of electronic music and as a sounds collector. He has been playing since the early 2000s the alto saxophone in contexts of solo and group improvisation. His approach to the saxophone explores extended techniques, multiphony and microphony. He has been programmed in numerous festivals of new and experimental music in France and abroad (Europe, USA, Japan…). Collaborations includes

Cyprien Busolini (born 1978) is a French contemporary classical violist. After a classical training, he turned to contemporary music and improvisation, two poles around which his work is articulated. He is a member of the
Dedalus and
ONCEIM ensembles. He also plays with the Fratres ensemble, an early music ensemble (baroque-classical) on early instruments.
