Artist's book: a journey through Tyrol landscapes with Bob Dylan.
Published on the occasion of Loïc Raguénès' exhibition at La Salle de bains, Lyon, France, in 2004.
French painter Loïc Raguénès (1968-2022) digitally decomposed miscellaneous photographs by applying a web of half-tones, then carefully painted the result with light monochrome shades, emphasizing the abstract dimension of the image. An elegant "neo-pointillist" work that involves the status of the reproduced image, as well as representation, optical sensing, memory and emotions conveyed by the contemporary iconography. Abandoning the small dots in the early 2010s, he explored other pictorial expressions through monochromatic landscapes just as nostalgic and dreamy.
