A collection of musical works from the seventies by the Canadian multidisciplinary artist.
Musician, visual artist, composer, writer, sculptor, Michael Snow is also one of the world's most highly acclaimed experimental filmmaker. In 1975 he released some albums under the record company Chatham Square. The label was founded by the owner of the Michael Snow's gallery, the Bykert Gallery, which also issued the first Philip Glass recordings.
Prolific and multidisciplinary,
Michael Snow (1929-2023) was a major figure in the fields of
painting,
sculpture,
photo,
cinema, and
video, as well as in
sound and
music. He made his first film in 1956, while his status as an international
avant-garde filmmaker was consecrated in 1967 by
Wavelength. His work features at most major international art events.
