Cranford Collection 01

Cranford Collection 01 - Cranford Collection 01
Catalogue.
The catalogues produced by Cranford Collection embody a portrait of one of the most important private collections of contemporary art in Europe today. Focusing on European art since the early 80s, Cranford Collection is based in London and is shown exclusively in a private house in Regent's Park. The hang, which changes every 18 months, is the opportunity to reflect on both the coherence of the collection and its evolution. The accompanying publications present beautiful images that document the possible dialogues between art and daily life, and help monitor the aesthetic changes that drive the collection but also, more broadly, reflect the specific taste of a place and a time. Throughout the pages, you will find major works by Damien Hirst, Sigmar Polke, Louise Bourgeois, Christopher Wool, Rosemarie Trockel, Martin Kippenberger, Bridget Riley, Paul Thek, Rachel Harrison, Juta Koether, Sergej Jensen and Matias Faldbakken. The texts and interviews help to understand the dynamics underlying the choices made by the collection.
