First photography book by Emmanuelle Bayart, dedicated to memorial issues in the town of Sarcelles, in a “ville nouvelle” sociocultural context.
The book isn't an exhibition catalog or a pur photography book, but an essay with an introduction by the artist, a documentation, a text by the playwrighter Timo Kirez, a text by the photography historian specialized in the representation of territory, Raphaële Bertho, and finally, a text by Joerg Bader, director of the Centre de la photographie Genève.
Emmanuelle Bayart (born 1981 in Amiens, lives and works in Geneva) develops documentary forms to represent the various dimensions, sociological, anthropological and cultural of the individual's inclusion in a territory.
