Lili Dujourie -
New monograph.
For the Roger Raveel Museum, Lili Dujourie is now creating an exhibition of her work specifically conceived for an architectural and museum setting that is unique in Belgium. Designed by Stéphane Beel, the building has a distinctive character of its own. In dialogue with Dujourie's work, this remarkable space will create an interplay that promises to result in one of the most striking and distinctive exhibitions of autumn 2026.
The accompanying catalogue alternates installation views with archival material and features an in-depth conversation between the artist and curator and museum director Melanie Deboutte. The conversation unfolds as a journey through the exhibition, while also offering insight into its conception and development.
Lili Dujourie (born 1941 in Roulers) is one of Belgium's most prominent artists. Her practice is fundamentally conceptual and always engages with the space in which it is presented. Installations, sculptures, textile art, photography and video form the core of her artistic practice. Her work is represented in museum collections around the world.
Text by Melanie Deboutte.
