John Balance (Geoff Rushton, 1962-2004), a key figure in industrial and experimental music, co-founded Coil with Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson (1955-2010). He has collaborated with Nurse With Wound, Death in June, Psychic TV, Current 93, Thighpaulsandra, Nine Inch Nails and others.
