Mirka Lugosi (born 1958 in Transylvania) is a Romanian artist based in Paris. A sultry underground priestess of the '80s, she was a key figure on the fetish scene and a member of the experimental noisy group Le Syndicat. She published for numerous magazines with photographer
Gilles Berquet, for whom she is model, muse and companion. An "image painter" as she likes to call herself, she works in gouache, inks on photographs, videograms and illustration, but her drawings remain the major part of her work.
