Lionel Marchetti offers a highly personal, artist-to-artist reading of one of
Pierre Henry's landmark works, a mysterious and improbable monolith in his repertoire, through which he attempts to grasp all the poetic issues at stake in the art of musique concrète, and to identify the specificities of the genre.
Lionel Marchetti (born 1967 in Marseille) is a French composer of musique concrète and improviser (electronics, various analogic systems with modified speakers, REVOX reel-to-reel recorder…) as well as a visual-sound artist, a writer and a poet. Whether his music is composed or improvised the body has an important role.
Lionel Marchetti also writes poetry and essays on the art of musique concrète, as a practicing artist of the genre.
