Denis Lavant reads/says the poem
Vents by Saint-John Perse (1946), accompanied by Quentin Rollet (saxophones) and Patrick Müller (electrosonic). With the participation of
Romain Perrot (guitar).
Denis Lavant has chosen to interpret "Vents" in an emphatic, theatrical and extraordinarily lively way. From this recording made in one take, Patrick Müller, with the help of Quentin Rollet on saxophone, accompanied this long poem, in a way that is not at all easy or illustrative: he sculpts the sound material by accumulating in a subtle way electroacoustic treatments which considerably enrich and renew these 38 minutes of great evocative power. Experimentation is constant there, without however taking precedence over the text and the always astonishing voice of Denis Lavant.
