Beatriz González (born 1938 in Bucaramanga, Colombia, lives and works in Bogotá) is a Colombian artist and
educator who deals with issues related to the historical and cultural situation of her country through
drawing,
painting,
graphics, and
sculpture. She has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions at various institutions in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Her works are included in the collections of MoMa, Tate Modern, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, among others. Apart from Documenta 14 in 2017, she has taken part in the Venice Biennale of 1978 and the São Paulo Biennial of 1971.
