Colorescenze Colorescenze - Colorescenze
Les pratiques alternatives de douze femmes artistes en Toscane, et autant d'imaginaires transformateurs s'écartant des modèles dominants centrés sur l'homme.
Colorescenze. Artiste, Toscana, Futuro is a choral reflection on urgent global issues such as ecology, sustainability, and the need to rethink humanity's place in a rapidly changing world, challenging hegemonic discourse and hierarchies, opposing the capitalist and pro-technological logic of the Anthropocene without succumbing to catastrophism.
Either born or based in Tuscany, the twelve women artists brought together by the exhibition held at Centro Pecci are bound by a "genealogy of proximity," by situated knowledges connected to the unique landscapes and cultural context of the territory that has inspired and nurtured their artistic practice, by their relationships with the objects and materials that inhabit it, and the communities embedded within it.
Francesca Banchelli, Chiara Bettazzi, Chiara Camoni, Giulia Cenci, Isabella Costabile, Daniela De Lorenzo, Helena Hladilová, Christiane Löhr, Lucia Marcucci, Margherita Moscardini, Moira Ricci, and Sandra Tomboloni embody alternative ways of making art, departing from dominant, male-centered models to embrace regenerative practices and transformative imaginaries. Their work shows how contemporary art can inspire new worldviews and serve as a catalyst for rethinking both social and ecological paradigms.
Like the exhibition, this publication unfolds through cross-references and non-linear, rhizomatic connections. Alongside the exhibited artworks, contributions from curators and editors Stefano Collicelli Cagol and Elena Magini, and commissioned writings by Rachele Borghi, Ilenia Caleo, Elisa C. Cattaneo, and Laura Tripaldi deepen the themes explored in the exhibition, expanding its scope and resonance.
Colorescenze thus aims to offer new perspectives and provide tools and vocabularies to navigate the complexities of an uncertain, yet full of potential, future.
