An encounter between Gilles Clément, botanist, landscape gardener and writer, and Thierry Fontaine, photographer, both globetrotters and fascinated by the evolution of living things and mutant landscapes.
Horticultural engineer, landscape architect, author, gardener, Gilles Clément (born 1943, Argenton-sur-Creuse, France) teaches at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Paysage in Versailles. In addition to his activity as a creator of parks, gardens, public and private areas, he pursues theoretical and practical investigations.
Thierry Fontaine is a photographer from Reunion Island, whose images, often poetic, are born from the stagings and situations that the artist has previously thought out and organized, where it is a question of hybridizations, crossbreeding and encounters sought, imposed or fortuitous.
