Richard Shusterman (born 1949 in Philadelphia) is an American philosopher, known for his contributions in the fields of aesthetics and soma-aesthetics. He is one of the most important figures in contemporary pragmatism in America. He is the Dorothy F. Schmidt Eminent Scholar in the Humanities and Director of the Center for Body, Mind, and Culture at Florida Atlantic University.
