Vilém Flusser (1920-1991) was a Czechoslovakian philosopher, writer, communication theorist and art critic. A singular figure in technical, communication and media thought in the second half of the 20th century, he is the author of numerous essays that cross the territories of philosophy of language, cultural history, technology, writing theory, media archaeology, communication and art theory, and philosophical reflection on images.
