The painting of neo-realist Gilles Aillaud (1928-2005) is full of exotic
animals and fantastic
landscapes. His work is associated with the
New Figuration at the exhibition “Mythologies Quotidiennes” at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris in 1964. He initiated long-term collaborations with artists
Eduardo Arroyo and Antonio Recalcati.
