Published to accompany Klara Lidén's first museum solo show in Italy, this monograph details the artist's intervention at Museion, Bolzano, and offers a new perspective on one of the most sticking bodies of work to have emerged in the last twenty years.
Published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition at Museion, Bolzano, in 2013-2014.
Through videos, installations and performance, Klara Lidén (born 1979 in Stockholm, lives and works in Berlin and New York City) explores the limits of physical, psychological and social decorum in both public and private spaces. The street is an infinite source of inspiration and action for her and obsession with recycling and transforming urban materials, as well as the use of the body, are fundamental elements of her work, intimately personal and surprisingly blatant, mad and intelligent at the same time.
