Marie-Claire Mitout

 
Marie-Claire Mitout (born 1961 in Le palais sur Vienne, France) develops an artistic work whose main subject is the question of the human existence human existence. Since 1990, she undertakes a plastic work based on the sensitive memory and the thickness of time the thickness of time, entitled "Les Plus Belles Heures", a series of painted images fixing the best moment of the past day. In addition to the interest for the moments of life, the artist invests the field of the words to retranscribe what is said through a unique pictorial gesture. These "concept texts" make the series autonomous and explicit. Some words are like subtitles of its works, others of the states of conscience.
