The name David Shrigley (born 1968 in Macclesfield, lives and works in Brighton) is associated above all with his combinations of awkward
drawings and
satirical commentaries highlighting the tragicomedy of ordinary situations. Although drawing is always at the heart of his practice, Shrigley works with a great variety of media, including sculpture, installation, animation, painting, photography and theatre, constantly working to extend his field of action beyond the world of art, notably in his many collaborative projects with musicians.
