Urs Leimgruber

 
Swiss saxophonist Urs Leimgruber (born 1952 in Lucerne) has been one of the leading voices of improvised music since the 1970s. He has performed internationally with Steve Lacy, Fred Frith, Marylin Crispell, Joëlle Léandre, György Kurtag, Michel Doneda, Jean-Marc Foussat, and in the LDP trio formed in the early 2000s with Jacques Demierre and Barre Phillips.

In 2015, musicians Urs Leimgruber, Jacques Demierre and Barre Phillips gave a series of concerts on both sides of the Atlantic with their band LDP as part of the “Listening” Tour. Listening is their tour's logbook and gathers memories, anecdotes, thoughts and pictures.
