Can You Tell Me Your Honor Where behind a Lamp-Post Is?A Retrial of Félix Fénéon

Sanna Marander, Niklas Tafra - Can You Tell Me Your Honor Where behind a Lamp-Post Is?
A retrial of Félix Fénéon (an artist book conceived and written by artists Sanna Marander and Niklas Tafra, with contributions by poet Claes Tellvid and assistant judge Erik Hellsten).
In a court case from 1894 the art critic and anarchist Félix Fénéon is accused of the bombing of the restaurant Foyot in Paris. In the art scene Post-Impressionism is blooming. George Seurat, a pigeon and the West Wind are among those who give their version of the course of events as witnesses. "Can You Tell Me, Your Honor, Where behind a Lamp-Post Is?" is a retrial of the case, in the gap between eye and word, where the role of the witness and that of the art critic slide into each other.
Claes Tellvid was active as a poet and graphic artist in the 70s and 80s. He then pursued an academic career working as an archivist for the Swedish National Archives. He is the author of two books of poetry. His graphic work was the subject of an exhibition at OEI Colour Project in Stockholm.
