By photographing his sister Julia's adolescence over a decade, Antoine Seiter bears witness to the language that a face can develop by constantly raising the question of portraiture. Julia's story is interrupted by that of young Achilles, the hero of Marc Faysse's novel. Parallel to the photographic work in the theme of the passage to adulthood, the story is a homosexual love story that brings emancipation.
Photographer and graphic designer by training, Antoine Seiter (born 1988, lives and works in Paris) is a graduate of the Rennes School of Fine Arts. His work focuses on landscape, rurality and portraiture, guided by the exploration of intimate history and family ties.
Marc Faysse (born 1990 in Rennes, lives and works in Montreuil) is a journalist, writer and activist involved in the networks of popular education and ecology.
