To each, the Eighties evoke the last years before the fall of
the Berlin wall, the globalization and the explosion of the Internet.
These are contradictory years for the artists, these of a will of change
for society and for the public space, in as much / as well as these of
a re-centering on a domestic and private sphere.
This book, accompanying the eponym show, reassembles the
most significant texts and images of works of the time. It is
followed by a
second part, devoted to images and representations.
