Joan Mitchell - By her Friends
An intimate portrait of Joan Mitchell, one of the greatest American painters of the 20th century, through a collection of previously unpublished conversations with the artists, art historians and personalities closest to her. From Paul Auster to Zuka, this book brings together all of Guy Bloch-Champfort's interviews with the people who knew Joan Mitchell best. They reveal heretofore unknown character traits and stories that are fundamental to our understanding of this great artist.

He was the coordinator of her estate and as such oversaw the inventory of her work after her death. He was the initiator and artistic advisor of "Joan Mitchell, une femme dans l'abstraction", a documentary directed by Stéphane Ghez (ARTE and Fondation Louis Vuitton, 2022).
