By means of photographs, videos, installations and sound pieces, Esther Hoareau depicts phantasmagorical landscapes which nevertheless share certain appearances and appeal to a truly collective imagination (monograph).
Published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition at the Frac Réunion, Piton Saint-Leu, from November 15 to December 13, 2020.
Born 1976, Esther Hoareau lives and work in Reéunion. Graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Dijon, she has also studied at the Nagoya Art University in Japan, and at ESA Reunion where she teaches since 2013. Her work has been seen in France, Brazil, Italy, Japan, South Africa, Cuba and Iceland.
