A solar music by Joe Jones, performed and recorded early morning April 1, 1984, on the Baltic Sea beach of Sierksdorf in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
This recording was originally published as a tape in an edition of 15 copies and later reissued as a CD. The original tape edition included seven photo prints and a title page which were missing from the CD and are reproduced here for the first time in A5 format on thick cardboard.

Joe Jones (1934-1993) is a New York musician and member of
Fluxus which he joined in 1963 after meeting
Dick Higgins and
Alison Knowles. Jones is best-known for being the inventor of the music machines, a set of mechanical instruments used during experimental performances. In 1972 he produced John Lennon and
Yoko Ono's album
Fly, and founded Fluxus Airlines with
George Maciunas. In the mid-eighties, Joe Jones also produced a series of computer-based short films called
Fluxus Homes Movies.
