Cendres Lavy
Artist and author, Cendres Lavy conducts research in philosophy, writes poetry and develops a visual arts practice. She lives and works in Toulouse and Geneva where she shares a printing studio with other artists.
Cendres Lavy features the body as the key part of her artistic practice, drawing her inspiration in the attitudes and aesthetics of an oniric world where female domination meets the bestiary of mythology. Using all kinds of techniques from lithography to stitching, she translates the subjects of these sources into art pieces in a most remarkable way, yet never devoid of humor.
