From 1957 to its disbandment in 1972, the
Situationist International set itself the task of liberating everyday life from the ruling economic, political and artistic system of their time. Denouncing the separation between art and the daily life, they refused to produce works, thus giving birth to the Situationist legend: the insubordination to the commanding cultural and social codes of the 'Spectacle', and the ability to enchant life again.
