ED/MNEditions and Multiples 1967/2016

Maurizio Nannucci - ED/MN
This publication documents around 50 years of Nannucci editions, artists' books, multiples, prints, catalogues, posters, ephemera—edited as artist & editor—from 1967 to 2016. It includes an anthology of essays, two index of works, by category and in chronological order, a bibliography and a biography.
From his tiny lapel badges to his neon editions, from his freebie-like, credit card-size pocket calendars to his boxes containing all sorts of utensils, like our rubbish drawers at home, there is nothing which Maurizio Nannucci has not already issued as an edition. In highlighting these works, the publication seeks not just to give an overview of Maurizio Nannucci's enormous artistic diversity but also to help readers to recognize and fathom this artist's great sense of humour. And in much the same way as children discover (or rather used to discover) the world by collecting stickers and keeping scrapbooks, our catalogue in form of a scrapbook should help us to discover and enjoy the art of Maurizio Nannucci.
Published following the exhibition “Think,” Colli Independent Art Gallery, Roma, from June 9 to July 30, 2016.
