A facsimile edition of a fanzine originally published in 1977. It gathers sculptures and
fluxus objects from Laurence Whitfield.
Tom Wasmuth's editorial work is quite unrecognized. Most of the fanzines he published with “Instant Editions” were directly sent to galleries. Through the booklets he conceives and creates himself, he maintains a free appreciation of the notion of “original work”. Whitfield's works reproduced here include “Cosmic Head, Architectural Foots, Kentucky Orange Peel Spectacles”, “Minuit Moins le Quart (Lichtenstein's Message)” and “Portrait sculpture de Kurt Schwitters”. A handwritten letter addressed to Pablo Stähli, written during the meeting of Tom and Laurence at Château de Ravenal before its departure to Reykjavik concludes this unique material.
Born 1941 in Dayton, Ohio, Tom Wasmuth lives and works in Albuquerque.
Laurence Whitfield (born 1938 in Manchester) is an English artist. He was a member of The Peterloo Group.
