The 2006 edition of the
Rencontre internationale d'art performance featured: a cross-section of artists from South America; a selection of First Nations artists who work with performance art, under the umbrella title of
Art sauvage/Indian Acts, in a program proposed by
Guy Sioui Durand; a selection of practitioners who combine action art, work with machines and multimedia, under the umbrella title of Machin'Truc, coordinated by James Partaik; a program of works from Northern Ireland and Ireland, selected by Brian Patterson, coordinator of Bbeyond in Belfast; and works by artists from a range of geographical regions.
