What counts as reality when images can be generated, manipulated, and circulated with unprecedented ease? The Future of Reality asks filmmakers and scholars to respond to a contemporary reality framed and filtered by algorithms and synthetic media. Questioning what other possibilities for reality can be found, the volume moves across nonfiction storytelling, generative and algorithmic media, sensing bodies and ecologies, and the politics of memory and a wide range of forms: essays, conversations, audiovisual works, and experimental interventions.
