The series of engravings A Sheet of Paper, with which Rémy Zaugg develops his reflection on the exchange of the glance between the spectator and the work
This publication provides an in-depth exploration of the artists joint project Olt, focusing on a 1967 promotional campaign by the French oil company Elf. The book highlights Mosset and Sauvage's common interest in graphic design and roadside art, and features a text by Jill Gasparina on the circle as a symbol of visual modernity, as well as an interview with the two artists.
In his influential 1986 text, now translated into English for the first time, Swiss artist Rémy Zaugg (1943–2005) laid out fundamental ideas on the art museum. For him, the museum is an everyday tool that enables the encounter between viewer and work—raising the question of the kind of architecture appropriate for such a space.
