Mel D. Cole

Mel D. Cole (born 1976 in Syracuse, NY) is a globally recognized, self-taught photographer, celebrated for his powerful and evocative visual storytelling. He has captured iconic moments across a wide range of genres, including photojournalism, music, lifestyle, travel, sports, and documentary photography. He originally became notable for his black and white photographs of hip hop concerts and artists. He has documented significant historical events, such as the George Floyd protests and the January 6th Capitol attack. He was named the "Editorial/Press Photographer of the Year" at the 2021 International Photography Awards.
