Serge Lemoine (born 1943 in Laon, france), professor emeritus at the Sorbonne, former president of the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, is a specialist in the history of twentieth-century art, particularly geometric abstraction and kineticism, as well as nineteenth-century art, especially Puvis de Chavannes.
