Photographer Niklaus Stauss (born 1938, lives and works in Zurich) studied at the Zürich Kunstgewerbeschule (School of Arts & Design), worked as a window dresser for a while, traveled round the world several times, learned expressionist dance, set up a photo studio and went on to publish his work in a great many books and other media. Stauss has been taking pictures since his youth and freelancing for the Keystone Picture Agency since the 1950s.
