Klodin Erb -
This artist's book provides a comprehensive insight into the artistic cosmos of Klodin Erb, one of the most renowned contemporary artists in Switzerland.
Starting with painting and drawing on art and cultural history or pop culture, Klodin Erb has been developing large-format and smaller paintings, installations and videos since the 1990s. The publication includes text contributions by 11 different authors from very diverse perspectives and shows how the themes and motifs of Klodin Erb's works are interconnected in a rhizome-like manner, allowing us to immerse ourselves in her fantastic world.
Klodin Erb (born 1963) is a Swiss painter based in Zürich, where she studied fine arts at the Schule für Gestaltung. Her paintings explore identity and self-referentiality through gestural brushwork and abundant allusions to the history of art and design. Alongside her artistic work, she teaches at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
Klodin Erb awarded the Prix Meret Oppenheim 2022.
