The new edition of a 1972 publication gathering a series of drawings and texts by Roland Topor in collaboration with his five-year-old son Nicolas.
Published on the occasion of the exhibition “Le monde selon Topor,” Bibliothèque nationale de France, Paris, from March 28 to July 16, 2017.
Roland Topor (1938-1997) is a French drawer, painter, designer, playwright and novelist who also worked for cinema and television. He founded in 1962 the Panic Movement, along with Fernando Arrabal and Alexandro Jodorowsky. A prolific poster artist (Empire of passion, The Tin Drum) he also collaborated with Fellini on Casanova's film set. In 1973, he won the special prize at Cannes for his work with René Laloux on Fantastic Planet. His novel The Tenant was adapted to film by Roman Polanski in 1976.
