Doux Voodoo

Christelle Enault - Doux Voodoo
Christelle Enault's last series: Voodoo priestesses cover their face with cartoon masks and lead ritual ceremonies where female creatures and priapic shapes perform erotic gestures in a poisonous and seminal environment. Yet, the delicate pencil line of the Parisian artist delivers a puzzling feeling of softness.
Published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition at Arts Factory, Paris, from June 20 to July 30, 2015.
Born 1980 in Paris, Christelle Enault is a designer and illustrator. She works with majors newspapers (Le Monde, The New York Times, Libération...) and publishing houses (Actes Sud junior, Albin Michel). Her more personal productions are regularly published by United Dead Artists.
