excerpt
My life will be closed and regulated. I shall do nothing that could harm the community. I shall live in harmony with nature, in the respect of myself, in the respect of others and in the respect of the environment. I shall wear a decent outfit. My penis will grow and get stiff at regular intervals but with absolute discretion. Each hour of the day will be dedicated to a task or to a cyclic work. I shall select a light, solid food, with no stimulants. My breakfast will be substantial and bring me the quarter of my daily calorie intake, my lunch will be neither too substantial nor too rich, I will not have diner late at night. I shall drink regularly in small quantities to avoid dehydration. I shall fulfill my duties in accordance with the law. I shall act in a politically neutral way, I shall not try to thwart the decisions or legitimate actions of the public authorities. I shall serve moral authority on a daily basis. I shall be honest, impartial and effective, I shall carry out my duties at the best of my possibilities, I shall not act arbitrarily, I shall take into account the rights, obligations and legitimate interests of others, I shall make use of my judgment capacity impartially, in any case I will never act in an illegal, irregular or unethical manner. I shall indicate to the proper authorities any proof, assertion or suspicion of illegal or criminal activity. I shall respect the safety procedures. I shall never forget that regulations are operating contracts that commit human beings one to another, that have the function of regulating human relationships within society, of making organizations clear, of updating rights and duties, with the aim of avoiding conflicts. I shall take every precaution for the protection of my possessions, and I shall respect private properties. I will be entirely responsible for any accident that could occure to me from ignoring the savety regulations, I shall cautiously follow all the indications, I shall read carefully the directions for use, the evacuation plans. I will never be supposed to be in ignorance of the law. Above all, I shall know the rules that govern the order of words. My sentences will be simple, composed of a subject nominal group and of a verb phrase. Conjugated verbs will always come at the second place in my enunciative sentences. I will never forget that the rule allows only one single element before the verb, that subject and complement cannot coexist in front of the conjugated verb whose complements can in turn be complex phrases, groups of elements of the same nature connected by phrase-structure rules that condition their co-existence. To the right sided recursive character of my language (an almost "infinite" possibility of additions at the end of the sentences I shall write), will echoe the prolific character of regulations, which, because they designate only what they express, will be regularly and infinitely enriched by new prescriptions issued by the authorities. These two combined elements will themselves allow possible processes within my "territories", processes which will have to obey to the organized corpus of rules that define the good use of vocabulary, the discipline to observe. The acceptance of rules and regulations will be the contract that binds me to the community. In exchange for my loyalty, my adherence, my implication, I shall benefit from an infinite range of services for which I will pay bills. I shall never stop getting involved into a discipline, opening myself, going towards the others, inhabitating my body, finding my own rhythm, developing my sensations, making sense, surpassing myself, transcending myself, watching myself, restraining myself, limiting myself. In all circumstances, I will have to be able to adapt my behavior. I shall impose my own rules upon myself, and these rules will be strict. I shall see to know my limits, I shall anticipate situations, I shall avoid obstacles. Never shall I be enclined to passivity, to dismissal, to the depreciation of myself and of the others. I shall accept common values. I shall make good use of my action capacities. My breathing will be peaceful and slow, I will inhale and exhale through the nose. I will learn how to absorb energy, to distribute it within my body, to reduce the tensions. Because freedom is never conquered by the weak, my body will be healthy and robust. My spirit will be strong, I shall have faith and unlimited hope in myself. Every day, I shall digest globules of vitality, distribute them through my body, they will bring me health, balance and happiness. I shall always express clearly my objectives, I shall organize my demands into distinct paragraphs, I shall speak with a loud and understandable voice, I shall be sober, polite, cheerful. My will to succeed, with the best of my possibilities, will never fail...
